Andrea’s House
Our recently completed project in Carshalton, Surrey was for a growing family who approached us with the goal of reconfiguring their existing home to better suit their needs. With a focus on maximising the use of existing space in innovative ways, we set out to create a solution that would not only meet their functional requirements but also enhance their overall quality of life.
The project involved a rear extension that stands proudly as a new addition, complementing the existing structure. The extension was designed to provide the family with an open and light-filled space that would serve as the hub of their home. The new kitchen and dining area were designed to be the heart of the home, with large sliding doors leading out to the garden, perfect for entertaining and spending time with loved ones. A key feature of the extension is the large roof lights above the dining table, which flood the space with natural light, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
Another key element of the brief, was creating a private and self-contained space for the client’s mother who stays for prolonged periods of time. This space was designed to provide her with her own privacy, yet still maintain a sense of connection to the rest of the family. The suite includes a bedroom, bathroom, and living area. The design is modern and functional, reflecting the personalities and lifestyle of the family who lives there.
Throughout the project, we worked closely with our clients to ensure that their needs and vision were met. The final result is a home that is not only beautiful and functional but also reflects the personalities and lifestyle of the family who lives there. We are proud to have played a part in creating a space that our clients will enjoy for many years to come.
