Community Pavilion
This new community pavilion is designed to address the growing need for an existing food bank on the same site, as well as providing a space for the community to come together for sports and other activities. The building is designed to be highly flexible, with the ability to easily adapt to the changing needs of the community.
One of the main focus of the project was to make the building as sustainable as possible. We achieved this by specifying locally sourced, sustainably harvested timber throughout the construction. This will not only reduces the environmental impact of the building, but also supports local businesses and promotes the use of sustainable building materials.
In addition to the use of sustainable materials, the building is designed to be energy efficient and to take advantage of natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day. The building will be equipped with a rainwater harvesting system and other sustainable features to minimize its environmental impact.
Throughout the design process, we worked closely with the community to ensure that the building met their needs and reflected their values. This collaboration was a highlight of the project for us and we are excited to see the building come to life and serve as a valuable resource for the community.
